Earlier this week, I spoke to Talia Jane about starting a business as a millennial, and why I felt that financial support from my family was vital in my ability to do that.
It’s not that there aren’t other important factors, there certainly are. I work longer hours than most people I know. I have an insanely talented business partner. I’ve made countless sacrifices. I’ve had the support of understanding friends. I’m also very good at what I do. These things are also vital. But I’m not naive, I know that I’m incredibly lucky to have a family willing and able to help me get where I’d like to go. I’m very grateful for that.
It turns out that piece was written for Vice, and they decided to use my quote as one of the pull-quotes. Pretty neat.
